"Simming" Yourself as a Survival Hunter
Throughout this page, we will regularly refer to the importance of simmingyourself on Raidbots, as it is an indispensable aspect of optimizing your character.
While we do offer generic sim charts for Trinkets, this should not be areplacement for simming yourself, at least not if you want to minmax sub-1%!

Patch 10.2 Tier Set for Survival Hunter
The Tier Set is comprised of 5 items, all carrying the Blazing Dreamstalker's moniker.Unique DPS bonuses are unlocked when wearing 2, and 4 pieces from the set:
- 2 pieces:
Hunter Survival 10.2 Class Set 2pc causes Fury of the Eagle to increase you and your pet's critical strike chance by 15% and criticaldamage dealt by 15% for 12 sec. - 4 pieces: Hunter Survival 10.2 Class Set 4pc causes Fury of the Eagle tothrow a free Wildfire Bomb at your current target at 100% effectiveness,cause your next Wildfire Bomb to not incur a cooldown, and increases thedamage Wildfire Bomb deals to your primary target by 40% for 12 sec.
The Tier Set Bonus is absolutely mandatory for competitive play, and youshould prioritize obtaining it. You can use theRevival Catalyst to convert regular items (from Mythic+, forexample) into Tier Items.
You only need 4 pieces out of 5 to get both set bonuses. We recommend youget all items except for the Helm, due to its high Mastery. Check out the BiS List for more information.

Best Crafted Items for Raiding for Survival Hunter
This section focuses on Crafting for Raiding. We focus mostly on single-target for these, which is why we choosesingle-target procs like Shadowflame-Tempered Armor Patch over Stat Procs like Elemental Lariat.In Raids, Adaptive Dracothyst Armguards proc far more often than they do in Mythic+.
- Your first 2 Crafts should be getting your Embellishments sorted. The bestEmbellishments for Raiding has a few considerations; Acidic Hailstone Treads with Toxified Armor Patch is, strictlyspeaking, 1.2% ahead of other options, but comes with a 20% permanent slow,which I do not recommend. For a non-slow option, I instead recommend the Adaptive Dracothyst Armguards and Shadowflame-Tempered Armor Patch, with the Armor Patch being craftable onany Armor item. I recommend Flame-Touched Treads for most people.
- Once your Embellishments are sorted, you should chase raw Item Level on thebiggest-budget items. What follows is a generic ranking of the highest-valueitems, to increase your Item Level with.
- Signet of Titanic Insight/ Ring-Bound Hourglass. Note that the Hourglass cannot take Embellishments.
- Obsidian Seared Halberd/ Kinetic Pillar of the Isles, if you do not have access to a Heroic Rashon, the Immortal Blaze or better.
- Flame-Touched Legguards/ Flame-Touched Chainmail — Bothcanbe optimal non-tier offpieces until 489, and should be simmed.
- From this point, I strongly recommend you sim yourself to work out future crafts.

Best Crafted Items for Mythic+ for Survival Hunter
This section focuses on Crafting for Mythic+. Stat Procs like Elemental Lariathave much higher value than single-target procs like Shadowflame-Tempered Armor Patch in AoEsituations, and effects like Adaptive Dracothyst Armguards proc far less often in Mythic+ compared to Raiding.
- Your first 2 Crafts should be getting your Embellishments sorted. The bestEmbellishments for Mythic+ are Elemental Lariat and Shadowflame-Tempered Armor Patch. The Armor Patch can be applied to any Armor Item, and I recommend Flame-Touched Treads for most people.

Trinkets for Survival Hunter in Season 3
There are a number of strong options available for Survival Hunter in Season 3coming from a variety of different sources. Some relevant ones to look for inorderof strength are:

| Cataclysmic Signet Brand | An immensely powerful damage-dealing Trinket. Deals some damage to you as well, but is so strong that you will likely use it anyway.It also loses some value in stop-start situations like Mythic+, but once again, it is so powerful that it is still worth using. |
| Coiled Serpent Idol | Another powerful single-target damage-dealer trinket. We use this for single-target only. |
| Bandolier of Twisted Blades | Almost as strong as Coiled Serpent Idol for pure single-target, but has AoE damage scaling that makes it preferable for AoE scenarios. |
| Mirror of Fractured Tomorrows | A strong burst Trinket, and generally your best choice from Mythic+. |
 Ember of Nullification | This Versatility stat-stick Trinket is surprisingly competitive. There arenot a lot of half-decent, passive Trinkets from the Mythic+ Dungeon Pool. Thispairs well with both Branch and Mirror if you do not want to use the formertogether. |
| My'das Talisman | An extremely powerful single-target damage dealing Trinket from Mythic+. Despite it being a single-target proc, it isstrong even in Mythic+ scenarios. |
 Idol of the Spell-Weaver and its friends | This Trinket comes in 4 forms, all crafted by Jewelcrafting. Eachversion of it offers a different secondary stat passive, which scales with the4 Gem types. For the most part, the Versatility/ Idol of the Spell-Weaverversion will be optimal. This is an excellent stat-stick Trinket, particularlywhen you have a lot of sockets, but does require a  Spark of Dreams tocraft. By the time you have Sparks to spare for this Trinket, you will likelyhave a Brand and Idol/Bandolier combo. But in case you do not, consider this one! |
